Suspect Arrested In Fatal Shooting Outside Airbnb In Spring, Deputies Say

The suspect accused of fatally shooting a man outside an Airbnb house in Spring has been arrested, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. James Ray Lane, 21, is charged with murder. He appeared in a Harris County courtroom Thursday where his bond was set at $250,000. If he bonds out, he most wear an ankle monitor, can’t have a weapon or can’t have contact with the witnesses. On June 28, sheriff deputies responded to reports of shots fired about 3:10 a.m. in the 3500 block of Braewin Court. Investigators said Lane tracked the victim and a witness using Instagram. He followed them to the home and “shot and killed [the victim] in a fit of jealous rage.
