Police Say Late Night Party Turned Violent, Several Bullet Holes Found Inside Airbnb

Authorities are still piecing together how a late-night party on the Southeast Side turned into a shooting. According to a police sergeant on scene, officials responded to Iowa & S Monumental Saturday a little after midnight for a shooting. When they got there, investigators said multiple bullet holes were found in an Airbnb rental and 10 people inside ‘heavily intoxicated.’ Fortunately, no one was injured by the gunfire. Police confirmed in an email that a black car in the area was pulled over, where they found two victims from the incident, an 11-year-old child, and a gun. Currently, authorities said it appears a fight broke out during a birthday party celebration, when one of the victims said she had an argument with someone at the party. That’s when two suspects were seen, with one of them pointing a gun at her and called a family member to pick them up.
