Police: Man in critical condition after shooting at Airbnb rental during party in South Side Slopes

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition in Pittsburgh’s South Side Slopes neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The shooting was reported in the 2300 block of Cobden Street at about 6:15 a.m. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of multiple rounds fired.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Elena LaQuatra reports a man was shot multiple times. Officials said he is in critical condition.

“Six in the morning, a dozen or so gunshots woke me up,” neighbor Shane Myers said. “I came running outside, didn’t see much, then the cops came ripping down the street.”

The man was found in the back of the property, which officials said is an Airbnb rental. Officials said there was a party going on at the rental.
