Man Injured In Shooting At Washington Township Airbnb

Sheriff’s investigators say a home being rented through Airbnb for three nights was fired upon by someone driving by. Deputies from the Washington Township substation of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were called about 11 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, to 421 E. Social Row Road on the report of a shooting. Deputies say they found several males in the front of the house and that someone had driven by and fired at the house. Deputies say one of the males at the house was taken to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. The injury was described as not life-threatening. “Evidence indicated that the shooting had occurred between and among several residences along Social Row Road,” the sheriff’s office reported. “Several vehicles in the area had also been struck by the gun fire.” Later the same day, the sheriff’s office said, several rounds had struck a resident and nearby church.
