“Jersey Shore” star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was reportedly arrested overnight in California after an alleged domestic violence incident with his on-and-off girlfriend, Jen Harley.
The couple, who have weathered a string of volatile confrontations throughout their relationship, got into another intense argument at their Los Angeles Airbnb early Friday, which quickly took a violent turn. A police source told TMZ that Ortiz-Magro slapped and punched his 33-year-old girlfriend, who fled from the house calling for help.AdvertisementPauseUnmuteLoaded: 0%Progress: 0%Remaining Time-1:01Fullscreen
The reality star then reportedly followed Harley from the residence, allegedly with a knife in one hand and the couple’s 14-month-old daughter, Ariana, in the other.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told the Daily News that officers responded to reports of a domestic incident on Woodrow Wilson Drive around 2:35 a.m. but would not identify those involved. Authorities did confirm a taser was required to take the suspect into custody and that he was being held on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
If convicted on the felony charge he faces up to four years in prison.
