Handyman Was Shot Trying To Break Up An Airbnb Party. Operators Struggle With Stopping Gatherings

A 31-year-old handyman is suffering in the hospital after he was shot Sunday trying to break up a party held in an Airbnb against the company’s COVID-19 policy, officials said. Police reported that Stephen Knight, 31, was assaulted then shot in the 1300 block of Broadway Street just after 10 p.m. Eric Haberthier leads the Greater Cincinnati Owners Airbnb Association. He said Knight went to check on the rental due to noise complaints and was then attacked by the guests there. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
